An ordinary label comes off in the freezer: the adhesive hardens in the cold, loses its grip, and moisture from condensation finishes the job. Freezer labels carry an adhesive designed for low temperatures, which stays stuck in the chest freezer, in the cold store and on the way from the cold to room temperature. ## What is different about a freezer label

- **The adhesive** , resistant to cold and moisture, so the label does not lift at the corners.
- **The material** : paper or polypropylene, depending on the pack and the moisture it will have to withstand. Plastic stands up better to condensation.
- **The print** , which has to stay legible: the brand, the ingredients, the batch and the barcode, without the frost wiping them out.

### Should the label be applied before or after freezing?

Before, whenever possible: on a dry pack at room temperature, the adhesive grips better. If your process labels the product once it is already cold, let us know and we will take it into account when choosing the adhesive.

### Do they work for chilled products too?

Yes. A label made for the freezer also copes with the fridge and with the humidity of a cold room.

### Can each label carry its own batch number?
