Closure labels with a non-adhesive tab: they seal the bag or box with your brand and peel off with a two-finger pull, no picking at the edge with a fingernail.

A label that seals a bag or a box has to do two opposite things: stick firmly while the product travels and come away without a struggle when it is time to open it. An easy-open label solves this with a non-adhesive tab that sticks out from the edge: take it between two fingers, pull, and the pack is open, with no picking at the edge with a fingernail and no torn paper. ## How the tab is made

The tab is part of the label itself: the die cuts it out along with the rest of the shape and, in that area, the adhesive is neutralised so that it does not stick. We do this with the **delam-relam** technique (delamination and relamination): during printing the face material is separated from its liner, a varnish is applied over the adhesive on the tab, and the two are joined again. The label comes off the press on a roll like any other and is applied the same way, by hand or with a labelling machine.

## Where it is used

- **Paper bags** for bakeries, coffee, tea or takeaway food, sealed across the fold with the brand on show.

- **Food packs** opened at home, where a label that will not come off ends up torn or cut with scissors.

As well as sealing, the label communicates: it carries the brand's logo and colours and, if needed, the batch or the date.

### Can it be resealed?

That depends on the adhesive we choose for the rest of the label. With a removable adhesive, it peels off and sticks back on several times; with a permanent one, it stays closed until it is first opened. We decide with you based on the pack and how it is used.

### What shape can it be?

Whatever you need: round, oval, rectangular or the outline of your logo. The tab is die-cut together with the label and placed wherever it is easiest to grip.
